About

The person behind MS Books
I'm Maximilian Störzer. I studied computer science at the University of Passau and went on to earn a doctorate there in software analysis and aspect-oriented programming. My path led from software engineer and architect through IT project management and process management into the digital strategy of a major corporation. Today, as Head of Digital Sales (Mobility) at Stadtwerke München, I'm responsible for the mobility apps and digital services of the MVG.
Digitalisation occupies me beyond my day job, too: in the DIHK committee for information and communication technology and in the ICT working group, the digitalisation committee of the IHK for Munich and Upper Bavaria, I advocate for an opportunity-driven digital policy.
I write about AI because I don't observe it from a distance — I use it myself. In early 2026 I ran a self-experiment with Claude Code and built a complete, production-ready application in roughly four weeks, alongside my job: more than 46,000 lines of code. The result convinced me and gave me pause in equal measure. My books grew out of the questions it left open.
What MS Books stands for
Under the MS Books label I publish my books on AI, automation and modern software engineering — and other topics I stumble across and write about in the course of my work with AI. My aim is neither hype nor doom, but an honest, practical assessment: what does AI really change — for organisations, for teams and for the way knowledge work, software development included, will be done in the future? Every book combines documented facts, a first-hand account and concrete recommendations.
How these books are made
This page is itself part of the experiment: like the blog articles, the e-books and the rest of the content, it's generated automatically from the book source. There is exactly one source of truth, the manuscript; everything else is derived from it and stays reproducible. Before any text goes live, a human approves it, and every figure must be traceable to the source. That keeps production fast without sacrificing accuracy or accountability — the methodology from the books, applied to the books themselves.
